My 86 may need heads and I can't find aluminum ones that fit my budget. My question is, can I use the cast iron heads on my 86? Some say yes while others say they won't work due to the EGR setup on it. The car is my DD so I can't have the down time to have them rebuilt. Thanks in advance.

There are many, many, aluminum and cast iron cylinder head options out there. What is your budget?
no more then 500. I was told that I need to run an 86, 87 head only or it would run like crap. I can get a set of cast iron heads with 1.94 and 1.50 from City motor supply but not sure if the will work.
Google world or EQ heads bet you could come close to a set that will outperform what you have now. Havent looked in awhile though. Try Summit and Jegs see what they may have. Iron heads can still make some power and are cheaper than aluminum. Theres always Patriot they are a low end performance aluminum head check Ebay
