Default Remove 88 Automatic Starter?

Help,
1988 Corvette, automatic.

What is the easiest way to take the starter out and put a new one in?

The last time I change the starter was 2002 and now I don't remember how I did. I already took the fly wheel cover off to have more space but the trans. cooling lines are in the way.

Thanks,

Manual says remove the lines. When I had a big starter I'd just squeeze it past them. It can be done.

I didn't have to remove the cooling line the last time. Just don't remember the starter came out toward the front of the car or toward the rear. Anyone remember which way was the best to take the starter out?
