Those who have the MSD opti, how is it working out for you?
How long have you had it MSD'd?
Any problems?
My 92 has had it's MSD Opti since late 2007. It's working great so far. I've only put about 5-6,000 miles on it. It does however have too many dyno and tuning pulls to count (all well past 7000RPM).
The 383 LT4 I built for blackharleyman has over 15,000 miles on it now and his MSD Opti is also still going strong. His has been in since July 2008.
The key with the MSD Opti is to loctite the rotor screw and make sure the cap's O-Ring is installed correctly.

My 92 - MSD is 2007, 10,000 mi. I just pulled it apart because had the w/p off for gasket replacement. The inside looked brand new, even the cap & rotor. The rotor has a very silght bit of carbon that came off with a paper towel.
Will - Round O-Ring? I just got 2 square O-rings from MSD that make the cap install less of a problem.
Have an MSD opti installed for about a year and 6,000 miles on my 94. No problems or issues. Went with the MSD because the Delco that was installed by a Chevy dealer failed after 7,000 miles. Could not get any warranty help because this dealer went out of business. Also the MSD is vented which the Delco optis for 92-94 are not.
I have a MSD. Got it from Summit. It's just been on the car a couple of months though. No problems at all so far. I kind of like being able to adjust the timing with the screw that is on them now.
I know they have had their problems with the electrics inside but these things are a work of art to look at. It's a shame you can't see them after they are installed.
