I may be in the minority here, but I think those lumpy cams sound like crap.It reminds me of a car not running properly.Give me a nice smooth idle with tons of power(I know its hard to have both). On the plus side I bet that car rips(is fast) with that cam

I like that sound for an old muscle car, older vette (early c3 or later) or a hot rod. I personally think newer Vettes should sound refined like a modern sports car. Simple answer to keeping a clean sound with mega power in these cars is forced induction. To each his own...just agreeing with the guy above though.

Congrats to the OP on moving forward with your car though. It's always a good day when that happens.

I have both, a lumpy idling C4 and a refined twin turbo C5. The lumpy idle of the C4 just does something to me, I miss it in my C5.

That's the music for my ears. Sounds absolutely great.
What kind of cam/lifters is it? HR or SR?

That's a pretty long duration cam. Why not more lift? How many cubes and what gears are you running? Sounds mean.

I love it, usually I like the sound of Fords better, but that thing is an unreal sounding vette.

Gotcha, I thought those other numbers were referring to lobe lift which would put the cam at .480 with 1.6 rockers. Any dyno or 1/4 mile numbers?

Sounds good. Thats a good step up from what you had last time. Should run strong. I like a quicker lope idle than that, I ran my cam at around 1000 rpm to give it abit quicker, not as choppy sound but that car does sound pretty mean.

But i guess once it warms up it smooths out. What rpm was it idling at in that vid when cold start?

I like the cam specs, it is very similar to the one in mine. I tried a few different idle rpm settings until I found what I liked.
