WTH?????? Accelerator!!!!!!!!!

Man, i am driving, and the accelerator breaks off!! WTH! It seems to be the fulcrum for the pedal that os bolted to the firewall. Its made of plastic. POS. How can chevy make something so crucial to the operation so cheap. Anyway, has anyone ever had this problem and can i get that part somewhere? Any quick fixes? I need my car. THANKS!

Very common problem believe it or not. Even so, you may have trouble finding a dealer who stocks a new one. Wouldn't take more than a couple of days for them to get. You need a pedal assembly. They're cheap (as you now know :)). Pain in the rear to install. Good luck! -Jeff

Thanks. I am in the process of trying to make a bracket myself. Can anyone measure the studs and diminsions of the bracket for me?
