Ok on my 89 vette are the side markers (the clear section) up front supposed turn on solid when the turn signals are on when the headlights are on?? How do the side markers function normally???
GM calls the two front clear side marker lamps cornering lights.
With the ignition ON.
When the headlight switch is in Head or Park and the turn signal switch is activated for a LH or RH turn, a switch which is part of the turn signal hazard switch assembly closes.
12 volts from the headlight switch passes thru either the LH or RH cornering lamp switch and applies 12 volts to the cornering lamp bulb.
The lamp will stay on solid as long as the turn signal switch is active.
