Default Window regulator installation instructions

I'm looking for the installation instructions to mount late window regulators in early C4's. If memory serves, it included where to drill mounting holes in the bottom of the door.

Thanks!
Gerald

Check along the bottom of the door. The proper holes were already in my early 86. Maybe you'll get lucky also.

Ditto. I got lucky when I did mine too. I think the pilot holes are there in Late '86 doors.

Check out 86PACER's link to Kevin's info, just ignore the part where he cuts the wires going to PS motor. Pop the terminals out of the connector, and switch them around.

When you mention 'late' what range of years should be used for the replacement motor?

Late model window regulators refers to 87-96 scissor style regulators. Since the regulators are all the same, I'm sure the motors must be. The early 84-86 regulators use a different design, where a nylon toothed ribbon runs through the motor.
