Fuel Pump replacement ?
Anybody know how hard it is to replace a fuel pump on a 98 Chevy Tahoe? Sorry it isn't a Corvette question but it's kind of an emergency and I figured that some of you guys would provide an answer. Thanks.

I hoped it was vette related. I'd assume it was standard procedure...drop tank(BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THE TANK AND FUMES) remove old, replace. Yes, sounds easy..but it's not.

Thanks for the reply JD. I know off corvette topics tend to pis people off but like I said, it is an emergency. Any GM mechanics out there?

You have to drop the tank .. I don't know an exact procedure, but it's not going to be easy. And like JD said, be careful.. i highly recommend draining that thing before you drop it.

BE VERY CAREFUL with electrical static discharge from your tools or even hands. Avoid doing the job on a cold DRY day. Choose a humid rainy day (less chance on static build up). Other than that, don't smoke and disconnect the battery! :chevy
