Default Reverse Gear Grinding.. not good!

Hi all! I just bought a '94 coupe with the 6-speed. I love driving it, but every time I put it into reverse, I feel like it doesn't really go into reverse. Even if I hold it in, it still grinds when I start letting out the clutch.. so I push it back in and am sitting there like.. "REALLY!?" Does that sound like the syncro's or something else that's going to cost a ton of fun and money? Also, my car is a steady 216 degrees.. is that standard? Seems just a little warm.

Sounds like you might be low on hydraulic fluid or a reverse linkage problem.
Your temps are normal.

There is no synchro in reverse. If its not going into reverse then the internal linkage may be worn. If its just hard to get in then the clutch may not be disengaging completely.

just to give a quick update.. I took it to the transmission shop. As I was showing them how it wouldn't stick in reverse, it stuck! and then it wouldn't come OUT OF REVERSE. So.. at least its at the right place for now.lol
