93 corvette headlight dimmer switch
According to the shop manual, you have to remove the steering column from the car in order to replace the dimmer switch. I've never tried to do one but I know where it is and I'm skeptical about whether that really has to be done.
Anyway, you need to remove the under-dash trim panel and the seat in order to be able to get in there and see anything. That needs to be done for any work involving the steering column. There will be some wires to undo and the fasteners that hold it to the column. Separate the switch from the linkage rod that operates it. The other end of the linkage rod connects to the part that pivots when you move the ts lever. You don't want to disturb that. If it falls out it may not be possible to get it back in without tearing the column apart.
Shop manual would be very helpful.
