Fuel Guage Not Working

Does it not work at all? Your sending unit basically falls out of the car its so easy to take out. Lift the gas lid take the rubber drain mat. Then Undo all the bolts around the filler neck. remove the lines and pull it out. If you dont notice any obvious damage to it, turn your key on(dont crank it, and be careful gas might eject from the sending unit.) then raise the float up and hold it see if your gauge does anything.
