Ok I am starting to look into what may be wrong with my car. It is a 84 manual trans Crossfire(obviously). I bought the car with 55K miles and it now has 145K on it.
The service engine light has never come on. It does not light up on start up andwhen I ground the diag port, it also does not come on. I checked the buld a while ago by switching it with the brake bulb and the bulb checks out fine.
The SES light has never come on since I owned it. The car has always run fine, passed emmsiisions when I had to take it through. The only thing that seems odd is that it has a high idle. It runs about 1k when warmed up and about 18K when cold. It never misses, spudders or has any other running issues.
So I am looking for some direction. Could the ECM be bad? Could someone have monkeyed with the wiring years ag (I have had the car since 97, so it would have been before then.) Guess Im looking for where should I start?

Doubt the ECM is bad, probably just a sensor that is acting up. I'm not familiar enough with that year though. Surprised no else has jumped in on this thread though.
