Intake changes next
I am buying a ported crossfire intake for my 84.
I figure that I'll do the following:
* Change the manifold -purchased from another member in Utah.
* Flush the cooling system -just changed the thermostat last month.
* Open up the air intake from the hood as per "free mods".
* Install a new fuel filter.
* Install an 85 fuel pump.
Questions;
1-is there anything else to do when changing the fuel pump, it looks like the 84 has 20psi & the 85 has 50psi?
2-Should these changes improve performance much?
3-Will the stock computer handle these changes as is?

Stock 84 pump should hold 12-13 lbs fuel pressure. Issue comes when you want to increase FP above 13 lbs. I run TPI pump at 19.5 lbs with 80 lbs injectors. Stock injs are 64-65.
To optimize your tune and enhanced output of engine(ported) most would suggest getting into tuning. Try stock puter and see how it runs. At a minimum build or buy ALDL cable and datalog(winALDL or TunerproRT) to see if you need to make changes.
