Default A.c. Question

I have a 94 LT-1 Corvette, And the A.C. Clutch is not turning on? I have 12V. To the clutch, Can i change the clutch or do i have to replace the compessor too? Thanks Gary.

You need to find out why it's not engaging.

I think on some models you have 12 volts and the compressor grounds to engage.

freon level ok?

No freon level is very low, will that keep it from engaging? thanks Gary

Yes if your low on freon it will keep the clutch from engaging. Its designed to protect the compressor from burning up. I would suggest recharging the ac system to the proper capacity and add dye to the system. If the freon is leaking out you can trace it with an UV light and the yellow glasses.
