When we overheat, the drill is simple: new radiator cap, a new t-stat,
new radiator hoses and a flush and new mixture of anti-freeze and distilled water AND clean your radiator.
The last item was always the bitch...pull the radiator.
Pics next week. Three and a half foot section of 1/2" PVC pipe. A pipe cap on one end and on the other end, a connector/female garden hose connector. Cut a one inch slice near the end that has the cap with a multifuntion power tool. Cement the connectors on the pipe with PVC cement. Hook up the garden hose to the connector and insert the contraption into the inspection port on the right side of the radiator. Turn on the hose and sweep.
It took ten minutes to do the radiator/A/C. It runs 15 degrees cooler now.

Sounds like a good idea, I made a similar rig using 3/4" PCV I use the same way to vacuum that area of debris between the full rip cleaning procedure. Low tech duct tape attachment to the shop vac.
Similar in concept I made a blow gun snozzle out of 1/4" ID tube with a 90 degree bend in the tip. It still takes some time to work it over as much of the rad as I can reach through the cut outs for the AC lines.
C4 radiators get clogged up at their bottom by road debris, straw, plastic bags, usually small stuff that sticks in the radiator, cutting off air flow. Clean it out and you've got a new car!
