Default Free eprom programmer and eraser

Here are the mods I'm doing in the next couple weeks. 93 LT-1
1. LT-4 Hotcam
2. 1.6 roller rockers
3. long tube headers and Corvette Central exhaust (cat delete)
4. most emissions delete.
5. 2800 stall torque converter
6. 3.54 rear gears later on

Do I have to keep the o2 sensors or is there a way to trick the ecm?

Can I still drive it with these mods without tuning? I know it will need to be tuned to optimize the mods. Will it be worth the cost to send off for a custom tune or would it be minor enough adjustments to attempt it myself? (no tuning experience, quick learner)
I have a 28 pin eprom programmer and uv eraser that I would be willing to give someone, relatively local to me, who would be willing to help get me started and has experience programming / tuning. I live in Conover, NC, about 60 miles north of Charlotte. I'll come to you. PM me for pics of the gear and your location if interested.

Can be set up to run without them ; called Open loop
the computer uses the programmed figures for it calcs and makes no adjustment from the O2 readings

Thing is few use that method any more ; too slow waiting for the memcal to erase when you have lots of adjustments to make
Most use reprogramable chips; just delete the file and load a new one like putting a file on a floppy disk

I have the Burn2. 2 seconds to erase and 2 seconds to reburn.

FWIW ;
your setup is a pretty common LT1 combo.
A good mail order tuner like PCMforLess or others should be able to nail the tune first time up .
Can also get things like fan operating temps / VATS deleted / TCC lockup speed changed done at same time
