Weird A/C Problem
So my A/C works fine, as long as it is in auto, recirc, vent and floor blend, or defrost mode.
When it is in vent or floor mode it seems to blow ambient air...Ever heard of this problem before? What gives?

You said it blows ambient (I'm assuming that's outside air) on vent and you also say it blows AC on vent. Which is it?
If it blows outside air in vent, that's normal. That is outside air on the Auto models to be used on those nice spring days of 65 degrees etc. The AC works only in auto and recirc. At least on my 90 that's what the book says i'm pretty sur. it may also work on the mixed setting but i'ld have to look as I never use that setting myself. On the floor setting that's heat only IIRC, I seldom drive it in the winter but when I do I seldom need heat.
Is this a new issue or has always been this way? Keep in mind these auto climate controlled models don't function exactly like the the manual models do.
