I don't have any pictures, but experienced the same problem. If you remove the door panel and lower the window all the way, you can look down into the door from the top. You should be able to see either 2 or 4 (its been a while since I did this) felt covered bumpers that rest against the window. They are near the top of the door and keep pressure against the window to properly position it. They can be adjusted and/or replaced. If they are not positioned correctly or are worn out, there will be play in the window. I got mine from Zip if memory serves me correctly. I just played with the adjustment until I was happy with the way the window sealed.

I had the same problem. It was the felt window guides. Like it was already said, pull the door panel & you will see them. I used lock tire on mine to keep them from vibrating loose.

thanks guys, how hard is it to remove the interior door panel? everytime i have or someone has removed door panels, not just on a vette, there always seems to be some damage, , clips or whatnot, any advice? DO NOT want any damage, no minor how small it may be, but that said, it seems that if any plastic clips have to removed, the integrity has a chance to be compromised....

Is it rubbing against the rear pillar of the car? If that's the case the window stop guides are the culprit...fairy easy to fix:

A great tool for helping to remove the window stop guide:
http://www.harborfreight.com/adjusta...nch-36554.html

And if you're going to have the door panels off, might as well replace the outer window seal since then tend to become rusty and look rather ugly:

Lastly, you'll probably find that door panels have cracked by the ribs and I suggest this post for a good fix:
