Default Brake lights

Ok while I was at the Garber auto mall tech shop they told me my brake light were not working. I checked the fuse all good.

Can someone who knows about how the 1990 corvette brake light system works tell me alittle about it. I'll be looking in my books to learn what I can but Idea will help.

I dont know about a 90, but the switch on my 87s brake pedal has gone bad twice in 140000 miles. about $15 and easy to change.

First thing to check is bulbs, then fuses, then brake light switch, then turn signal switch, then wiring.

All fuse are good. All bulbs are good. all turn lights are good. the brake switch has never been hooked up but the brake lights still worked. I can not find the wires that go to the brake switch I looked all over.

Im I looked inside my stoplamp switch and dont see any burn out or bad parts. Could that really be the problem? Im waiting on a voltage tester to see if it getting power or not. Up date when I do it.

If the third brake light works but the others don't, then it's a good chance it's the turn signal switch.

check voltage at the switch if you have voltage jumper between the terminals and if you have lights then it is the switch

I found the problem. It was a fuse, the fuse blew out in a hard to see spot. But, before I put the switch back I cleaned the inside out and put new grease in.

Do you know how to adjust the brake switch? It looks like it screws in/out. But I'm guessing you just push/pull it?
