My PKE's (both of them) have just stopped working, i tried re-programming them to the car but seem to have found another problem.
1. with the ignition "on'
2. I push the Trip /odo button twice
3. Wthin 5 seconds I push and hold the Fuel / Info button
at this point the PKE light should come on but does not, looking through my owners manual I see that the system can be turned off but I don't remember doing that. The PKE's are about 6 months old. Before I go taking something apart I wanted to ask in case I have done something dopey.
Turning "off" the PKE would not affect your being able to reprogram the fobs. Check all the fuses involved, 26, 40, 42. Also, does the PKE light come on for a second or two when you turn on the key? There is always the possibility the PKE light is burned out. If the fuses are Ok and the bulb isn't burned out, you may need a new receiver.
Oh, will the fobs open the rear hatch? Also, check and make sure your door open/closed switches are working OK and are not stuck.

Mark,
Checked fuse 26 and it was okay, did not know about the other two. I'll take a look at those today.
I have no "PKE" light illumination at any time. The fobs will not open anything at this point, it's like they don't exist....they were working fine last week. Like you I am thinking blown fuse or inoperative receiver.
Thanks for the help, i'll post what I find.
