Default TPS Interchangability

I've been searching for the best price on a ACDELCO TPS for my son's 96 LT1. I found several bearing the same part numbers - 17106680 and ACDELCO # 213-894 - and the prices differ dramatically.

One site on Amazon.com has it for $12.80 + $4.95 shipping while another site - Rock Auto - has it for $36.xx plus $15.xx shipping.

When I cross checked the "Does this part fit your application" on the cheaper of the two sites I received a response saying IT DOESN'T, yet Rock Auto says it DOES.

Even SHOBOX'S site shows the part number as 17106680, which is what I suspect is an old part number that has been superseded by 213-894.

Amazon's site shows it fits a different model GM car, a GEO something or another.

Question is 'does anyone know the interchangeability of that specific part' - ACDELCO only.

I mean, why pay over $50.00 for the same part I can get for $17.xx?

Thanks

Jake

I'd almost prefer a good functioning junkyard tps or one straight from the dealer. You never know what "ac-delco" means these days.
