The first tuner I had said never ever run Bosch 02's to always use GM.
Bosch makes Delco's!!
Least, that is what the parts guy at the dealer told me. He has been there as long as I can remember, atleast 10-12 years, so I think he would know.
all I know is the delphi I just installed looks a lot like the factory one I took out originally. The bosch looked nothing like the factory. I had to order the delphi for the right side but on the bosch they used the. same o2 sensor for either side. I just hope this solves my o2 problem. I can report that the car is much more responsive with the delphi o2 sensor. The change in response is like when you do a tune up on a car that is 50k overdue one. I am comparing this to when the bosch was just installed not after it went bad.

That may be. However, made to what specs? Mom worked for Sta Rite and IIRC, and I might be wrong, they all made the same pump visually. One set had brass internals, the other had plastic. So, visually, they have a slightly different stamp but if you tear it apart, it is different.
update: I have over 700 miles on the new sensor and no hiccups so far my gas mileage is a little ove 20mpg and steady with a lot of city driving and ac running. So far so good

I have around 800 miles on her now and no hiccups. So far my gas mileage is holding steady at a lil over 20mpg. This is a good sign. On the two bosches my mileage had started dropping fast by 800 miles. Wish me luck guys and girls
well I have over 1200 miles on it and not a hiccup I really warmed her up saturday to see if it would fail by taking it up a a large mountain the outside temp was 102 degrees and she did fine. I am going to take a leap and call this problem fixed. Thanks to all of you for your imput and advice

Yep, that's why it's important for the tube to indicate the silicone sealant is "Sensor Safe", "02 Sensor Safe" etc.
Some of the silicone sealant used in home projects don't have that "safe" feature and shouldn't be used on our engines. I've got booth kinds and I'm always careful which tube I grab.
