Yes you need to remove the serp belt, remove some stuff and move some stuff forward.

Slip the square prong from a 1/2" breaker bar into the square hole of the belt tensioner and move the bar toward the driver side till the belt will slip off the A/C pulley.

Like 65Z01 said first you'll have to loosen the serpentine belt. Drivers side shouldnt be too bad-might have to move the alternator forward a bit. Passenger side you will have to loosen the bolts for your a/c compressor and move it aside and take the egr pipe off in order for the valve cover to come off.

Use a good quality gasket to replace it. Felpro makes good rubber ones. Some folks dont use any gasket maker but I used enough to hold the new gasket to the cover and let it dry overnight. It helps to keep everything together while you work around all the stuff in the way.

Good luck with it!

Yes about the rubber-I got mine from autozone-they were blue Felpros and Ive never had a problem with them leaking.
