I recently purchased an 89' automatic convertible corvette. The car had been sitting under a pecan tree for 2 years! I have got it running. It didn't take much, power steering pump, tension pulley, belt, battery, starter, plugs and wires. Now that it runs I would like to address a power problem I am having. I have NO low end power! Once I get up to around 40mph I am fine, but before that, even floored, I seem to just slowly build up speed. The trans isn’t grinding or slipping. Right now it is fine for a daily driver, but what’s the point of owning a corvette if you can flex it a little at the light!?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also if there are any common problems with this car that I need to go ahead and address, please let me know! This is my first corvette and I really want for it to last.
