I have a fairly common problem that I've seen posted several times. My 88 starts great when it's warm and after it's been sitting for a couple of days. But it takes about 6 seconds of cranking to start if it's been sitting for 20 minutes or more. I've tried the test for leaking fuel injectors without success so I don't think that's the problem. Here's another clue. I occassionally get a code 34 and when I do the car starts beautifully with less than a second of cranking. When I drive it with the check engine light on it kind of feels like there's a vacuum leak because when I let my foot off the gas slightly the engine compression slowing the car can be easily felt.
What do you think could cause these symptoms?

Code 34 usually indicates a MAF sensor and or circuit. Check for vacuum leaks on the intake manifold. Then I would look at the sensor connection to the MAF and its' relays and finally replace the unit.
