What's this connection ?
And why would it appear to make my car run better when I reconnected it?
I was looking under the hood and saw it was disconnected. It doesn't look like it connects in any specific way, so I shoved it on.

A/C pressure switch, disconnecting it will stop your AC compressor clutch from operating, this will reduce drag on the engine, raise idle slightly and make the engine perform better, the AC compressor can cause a HP loss of upto 20 hp

The AC was working fine when I saw it unplugged.. the car had a miss I'd been trying to pin down, and after I restarted it and drove home the miss was gone.
It doesn't plug in any certain way does it? It didn't looked liked it.
