Would this be necessary if the fuel system was up to par? The Vett in question would be a 94 with cam, 1.6rr/guideplates/pushrods, PJ geardrive, headers/borla exhaust, etc.... The nitrous system is a NOS 150 wetshot and I naturally have the MSD auto retard ignition box setup. Can I assume that a program made specifically for the hardware on the Vette that I just listed would suffice and the computer would make necessary adjustments if needed when the nitrous started to spray? TIA
Glad there is a board like this now
You can't run a PJ gear drive on a LT1 unless you figure out a way to remove the OPTI. Their timing chain sets are a special type and can't be swapped out with any other.
but as for your question, no adjustments would be necesary. I am sure some could be made and you could optimize for the nitrous, but then regular driving off the nitrous would suffer.
Hey Lee, I just assumed it was a PJ gear drive. 99% of cars I know of with gear drives use PJ's. Didn't know they couldn't go on LT1s, thats interesting. Learn something new everyday. Thanks man.
