Can you spin the top collar down?
There should be two, on for the mount, and one for the spring perch.
I have inverted shocks, so I spin the perch on the shock body down, if you can spin yours up, that will effect your preload.

Yes, it is that easy, get the 2" extension, the 1" does not lift it much at all, and you can move your spring up as well,, when I did mine, taking one wheel off at a time, it took me @ 1 hour to do both sides
With the shock being on an angle, the lift will not be the full 2", but it could be 1-3/4
