FYI 84 Air pump removal
However, myself and a few others have one thing in common: the belt tends to stretch due to the lengh of run from the tensioner to the alternator.
Today I finally got sick of that problem and heres what i came up with. Total cost of material is $52.00 and 1 hour labor
Using the bracket that was for the Air pump itself.
Center hole tap out to 1/2 inch x 13 thread

Idler pulley

Door striker bolt kit

The pulley has a built in bearing, the striker kit uses a plastic bushing that will need to be pressed into the pulley. Very simple using some emery cloth and then some grease just press in with a bench vise.
At your local hardware store you can get a nice metal spacer that the bolt will fit into and a self locking 1/2 x 13 nut.
Cut the spacer to the length you want. The nut I'm using just as a lock just in case the bolt loosens up.
should look like this

And running
