I've got a click or clunk at slow speed when moving away or coming to a stop. At first I thought maybe a brake caliper problem but all the bolts are tight and pulls up straight and true.
Happens forwards or backwards.
I've recently done some front suspension work, including lowering the front spring, adjusting the camber/castor and toe-rods etc.
I hope to get the car up in the air and just to a nut a bolt check - but some other things to look out for may be usefull!
I would have said a UJ, but its deffinately from the front.
I had the same question when I first got my car. I come to the conclusion that is was still the brake shoe's. I think they have a little play and are suppose to have a retainer clip to hold them in place. But, I think, they still slide back and forth. I may be wrong but I haven't had any problems either. I've replaced complete front brakes system with J55 calipers and 13" rotors, plus A arms including ***** and bushings. Also replaced tie rod ends and DS u joints.
Hopefully someone will have the answer.
This was all I got, my u joints were in very good shape when replaced.
