Pic below is from my 1993 LT1. The pic is from the Passenger side. Does anyone know what this connection is for, or where the other end would be? I can;t seem to find where it plugs in.
Thanks!

Reason: Pic too small
Depending on options up to four relays mount to the rear of that wheel well, wiring harnesses often include connectors for optional equipment if the vehicle is otherwise equipped.
Aah thanks toptech - So down below where my hand is in the pic, I should see a series of connections? I didn;t notice any there, but I noticed something under the coolant reservoir, it was not the same type of connection (it looked like it was recently zip-tied there).
There have been many people working on this car (too many uneducated ones!) and I have been tracking down a battery drain for over a year now. Working on all grounds that I can find. Some are not as obvious than the others!
Have you tried connecting an ammeter to the negative battery cable then unplugging the fuses to isolate the circuit with the draw? The correct service manual is invaluable when working on wiring, it can help locate connectors and grounds once you understand the layout.

Does your car have the fx3 option?
Mine has the fx3 option shocks disconnected and I have one of those on the passenger side and the driver side where the actuators were disconnected.

I think jaa1992 is correct. I just checked the FX3 connection on my 95 & it looks very similiar. One question..is there a long tab on one side of the connector?
If you have a 6spd, there is a connector located there that, when disconnected, by-passes the 1-4 shift instead of using the skip shift harness on the side of the tranny. If you have an automatic, this post is useless.
Ah-ha! It's for sure the FX3 connector. I had the system replaced with custom valved non-FX3 shocks from Bilstien so therefore these would be not hooked up. I'll just seal it with tape and tuck away... Thanks jaa1992!
toptechx6, I don't have the FSM, I have been at my wits end with this, and I should just have gotten one at the beginning. I sourced it down to be something from the 20amp Interior Lighting Maxi Fuse under the hood, in the block in front of the Battery. (by connecting a test light in line with the neg battery cable/post). Seems that circuit also controls RH Illumination and LH Illumination, LCD fuse, CCM#2 fuse, RDO batt fuse, and console illumination.
As for the RDO batt fuse, will that affect the antenna as well? (aftermarket installed, and was a HACK job!) I am going to remove it all together to see if that is a culprit too, after cleaning as many grounding spots I can find.
I also cleaned the battery terminals and replaced the battery terminal bolts with new ones (positive had some corrosion on it).
seabright, thanks for your post, much appreciated. It's an auto though.
