I guess my answer is yes and no. I have tuned a few supercharged Vette's with 1 bar sensors and boost referenced fuel pressure systems that have worked out OK. I have not used a two bar sensor. How have you made that system work? Does the two bars sensor cut the MAP voltage in half for any given pressure and then you modify your VE tables accordingly?

once i understood how the cars computer reads the 2bar sensor it was kinda easy, the new values are (0psi = 51kpa, 7psi = 75kpa, 14psi = 100kpa) so you condence the stock tune 50kpa is now what 100kpa was. 55kpa & up is boost tune. you just need big injectors.

Thanks for the info, that is what I was hoping would happen. This would make it easy to tune.

The real art now is calculating the injector constant/fuel pressure, so you dont have to screw with your VE table

Doing a 2 bar sensor on a 1 bar map loses alot of fuel control resolution. It may run ok but I"d like more resolution especially under boost.

Switch to a real 2-3 bar code like code 59. its modded syclone/typhoon code that can be set up for V8s fairly easily and runs well once you tweak it. High resolution table even for 3 bar sensor.
Its what I use on my twin turbo car.

EDIT, if this is a 87-91 car that is setup for speed density 730 ecm. If LT1, i am not familar with that.

my car is an lt1. i'm only pushing 8psi boost. a TT car that pushes over 14psi would need a 3 bar sensor then i could see doing what you said. but even still a 1,2, or 3 bar sensor still only uses 0-5 volts to reference vac/boost, so i would think a 3 bar would have more boost resolution, but less part throtle.

Yeah for LT1, then do what you are doing. I'm not familar with LT1 programming. The 3 bar is nice because the code I use with it has good resolution in the tables. It has alot of points of adjustment so 3 bar even on low boost setups still works well.
