Hello all I searched everything and still having problems. First I'm new to this forum as I just bought a used 1985 Corvette. First day after getting it home. Heater core, dash, brakes, horn and exhaust. The car sat for 5 years so I expected some work. Anyways here is my problems. I have everything taken apart to remove the dash. Problem I can't get the two wiring groups off? must be a trick to the clips? Can anyone help? Second I have the Pass seat out computer out because I'm changing the heating core. Needless to say I'm also trying yo locate the other fuse blocks! I read that they are under here but I cant find them? I'm trying to fix my horn. Any help would be great and a picture would be better. Thanks in advance Ted
Open the passenger door and the fuse block is behind a plastic plate near the upper hinge on the black plastic panel. You should be able to find it there. Good luck with the core. You picked a goodie for your first project. Welcome to the forum.

I can't remember what it is for but there is a fuse (1) in the area behind the information panel. The info panel has the door ajar, check engine etc. etc. lights. Four screws and it is out, maybe you had better check that fuse.

Checked it the fuse is good, still no power to LCD fuse. I have everything out because I had to remove a leaking heater core, which was a hard job in itself. This electrical problem has me stumped!! Anyone?
Ok I went back out and pulled the fuse again in the info Panel. This time I used my meter and yes it is blown. Thanks Midnight 85 you saved me tons of work tracking the electrical brake. Ted

Good luck on the heater core. I've done 2 two in the 93 and on the way home from getting this so called pristine 92 the windshield began fogging up while the a/c was down to 60 degrees and the smell of prestone became unmistakable. Made a bypass so I can use the 92 but this damn hot weather won't be around forever. Want to figure out a way to reattach everything with heavy duty Velcro. This is what happens when stuff sits. Hate to say this but get prepared for a radiator soon. Don't use dexcool use prestone, The Green / Yellow stuff.

Hello been away for a few days fishing, put heater core in today and finished the brakes. Hooked up the battery and still no power to the fuses LCD fuse anyone have an idea on what might be the problem? I think the car is ready if only I can get this fixed.
Go back and see if that single fuse is blown again, if it is you have a dead short in that circuit. The hard part is to find that dead short. If the fuse is not blown then you are probably going to have to start checking the fusible links. A fusible link or a disconnected wire is about the only thing it can be other than the dead short I mentioned. Good luck, I hate electrical work.
