Have SLP runners? Question
Just finished the install of my new FIC injectors, ported manifold and SLP runners. The last thing I need to do before I fire her up (91 coupe) is to hook up the throttle/cruise/tranny cables.
WTF? The runners are much fatter than the stock ones and I am unable to attach the cable bracket without the cables binding up.
Sorry, no pic as I had to leave for work.
I bought all this used and there were no instructions. Is there a special bracket that allows the cable to align better?
I stopped by the hardware store on the way into work and bought some longer bolts and steel sleeves. When I get home I will try to use these parts to make the cable bracket "stand off" from the plenum another inch or so.
It looks like I could also route the cables behind the runners and slightly above the fuel rail but I am not sure how to remove them from the bracket in order to do this.
Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to get ready for the 10 hour drive to Carlisle and want everything to function properly.
No special bracket. Other than making things a little "snug" to get at it should pretty much bolt right up. The TV cable goes on inside the runners see pic below for proper routing on a stock runner setup. There are 2 tabs that hold the cable stop housings in the cable bracket. These tabs can be pushed in slightly to release the TV cable's mount so you can mount things up with less hassle.

There are two brackets per se.
The larger 2" square bracket should be obvious. 3 allen screws hold it to the plenum.
The "loom-like" bracket that goes between the runners has two release points. It will snap open/close like scissors. Plus, it will pull off of the bolt on which is swivels.
