I"m changing injectors in my 1990 C4 corvette and when I went to put it back together the return line nut is stripped out . The last person to service this vechile did not put a o-ring on the fittilng to the fuel rail . They just covered it in pipe tape and jamed it together and stripped out the threads on the return line nut . The fuel rail fitting looks ok . Does anyone know a fix for this without going to the dealer or where i might be able to buy replacement lines from the filter connection to the fuel rail . Thanks .

Go to your local NAPA guys and tell them your problem. Be sure to measure the sizes of the line and the male/female ends. I had a similar problem with a C3 I used to own and rebuilt. They got me the correct conversion fitting to fit my aftermarket carb so that is was safe and leak free.
I was lucky back then that the counter guy used to own a mid year Corvette and knew his stuff.
Just an update . Fuel line Fixed with the help of Vette Pros in Charlotte North Carolina . Got a set of used lines in great shape from them . $40 dollars for both the feed and return lines . They have a great sellection of used C4 parts and you can reach them at www.vettepros.com ..
I have the service manual for my 1990 and the breakdown view of the fuel lines and the fuel rail shows an o-ring on both lines . These o rings are still available from the dealer but the fuel lines are not .

I tried with Vettepros in the past through ebay. They advertised fuel feed & return lines for an 86 (compatible with 85) and come to find out it wasn't what was advertised. Didn't want to take any chances and just wanted a refund. Got the refund but poor communication and follow up stretched it out a week more than it should have been.
Then again, it could've been his off week for a lot of crap going wrong. Once I finally got to speak with him, he was apologetic and seemed sincere. Has a good rating overall but your results may vary.
Not to overshadow Vettepros but kg1922001, one of our very own here on the forum is A+ on customer communication AND follow up of part satisfaction from my experience. He by far offers the fairest prices you will ever find on these parts.
