Is anyone using anything else in place of the hose that goes from the throttle body to the maf sensor on an L98? I went to Lowes yesterday and autozone and couldnt find anything that looks to have worked in place.
There is a company called Race Part Solutions that have the smooth type hoses in different colors and transition sizes to adapt up anything you need with good clamps. Pipe
go back to lowies: 4x3 rubber sewer connector in plumbing dept for under $10 with clamps
this reducer is 4'' long vs the 6'' long vette flex, so you also need a 3'' 'no-hub coupling' ($4 for 'ripple' body reinf type, but toss the reinf anyways) that is 2'' long...metal sleeve inside the joint of the two rubber pieces can be cut from an expended 'family' size campbells soup can or buy 3'' plastic sewer pipe (10 ft for $6, IIRC, but only need a couple inches long for this project, get the 'thin-wall' DWV plastic not the heavy wall also sold there), the sleeve will be totally hidden when installed.
this 'home-grown' gizmo may actually yield a minute power gain due to 'ram' configuration/smooth bore.

look in the front of a helms c4 Service Manual, there are instructions to use a piece of 'black plastic 2'' underground water pipe' to make a proper suspension protector for raising a c4 on a hoist...not a 'Gm dealer' item, homie depot or lowies is the number to call.
