Looking for a little help on this one. I have a 93 LT1 that starts right up when cold. When running it runs fine, good idle and smooth throughout range without codes. Once you shut it off and try to restart it just cranks and won't start. I am getting spark and FP is 40-42, but it won't start. If I disconnect battery and then reconnect, the engine starts right up and runs fine. Shut it back off and try to restart and nothing. Since I am not getting codes, I am not sure where to look. The only thing I do see is the ASR light comes on every now and then. The engine has an MSD Opti, a Comp Cam and a PCMforless chip in it. Any help would be great.

A bad or faulty CLT can cause issues similar to this(but usually a delayed engine start is the symptom). Check the temps on dig. cluster and make sure that at cold start up, the dig. temp is close to outside ambient. Then when hot, make sure temp. is reading normal hot(let's say 200F), and is not bouncing all over the place.
Thanks for pointers. I am uneasy about shooting starting fluid directly into intake (heard plenty of bad things can happen). The temp is fine, no issues.
I am still wondering why when I reset the ECM (disconnect battery and reconnect) the engine will start right up. There are no codes being lit up except for intermittent Service ASR light. I have a TTS trace but it doesn't really show anything glaring.
TTS Trace information. While looking at my trace it shows the BPW and INJ DC at zeros when it won't start. This is telling me while cranking that the Injectors are not kicking in. Upon reset of the ECM, I get values for BPW and INJ DC and the engine starts right up. Can anyone tell me what sensors or switches are used to tell the ECM to "turn on" the injectors?

I had the same issue. When hot and left for a while it would crank quite a while before starting--worn out diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator. My mechanic replaced and it starts instantly every time.

Doesn't sound like the regulator. If the diaphram is busted you will usually smell raw gas coming out the right side exhaust on start up. An easy check though is to pull the vacuum hose off of the regulator and see if any gas is present. If any gas is there then change the regulator.
