The 700R4 Transmissions with an auxiliary valve body did come on 1986 and earlier 700R4's.
The early build 1987 700R4's did not have an auxiliary valve body likewise.
Around March of 1987 all GM 700R4 transmissions were built with an auxiliary valve body.
The auxiliary valve body was used from 1987 to 1993 700R4 models.
