Hey everyone, this is a dumb question but here goes:
My outside mirror (glass) on the driver side is very loose. The power still works but the glass moves around when driving. I think it might be the outside mirror trunion. Can someone tell me how I remove the glass. This is not a heated mirror. Thanks for the help.
A wobbly mirror was the first thing I addressed when I brought my '94 home. That tech tip, above, probably works but I was pretty uneasy about yanking or prying on the mirror itself -- it's just glass, you know.
So I adjusted it all the way in to see behind, revealing a couple of loose screws that hold the entire mirror/adjusting motor assembly to the mirror housing. They are self-tapping screws that go into the plastic housing, but could not be tightened further so I took them out and used small washers as shims to make the thing tight when reinstalled. It worked. Took a couple of minutes.

Mine had loose screws also, but mine just tighted up. I just adjusted the mirror all the way down, and all the way in, and had enough room to get a skinny phillips screw driver in there and tighten them...WW

Thanks for all the help guys. I ended up popping the mirror off, unscrewing the motor and found a triangular bracket that had lost 1 screw and the other screw was loose. Tightened that up and snapped the trunion into place and it is tight as a drum. Thanks again.
