Need help PCV/EGR
Several years ago I had a problem with my car. After it warmed up it ran like crap. Got help here. Someone told me to time it (16 minutes or thereabouts) Like clock work as soon as it heated up 16 minutes or so it would run like crap. I had it fixed. Now a friend is having the exact same problem but I can't remember what I replaced. I think it was the EGR vavle but could have been the PCV. I just recall it was three letters, lol Anyone hear of this 16-18 minute warm up problem???
The EGR valve system typically sets a Code 32 if there's a problem. Are you getting a Service Engine Soon light on your DIC? If so, are there any stored codes?

It must have been the EGR. The PCV is a plug in spring loaded valve that plugs into the valve cover. When pressure builds up in the crankcase (moves up to the the valve covers) the tension in the spring is overridden by the pressure and the valve opens and lets the pressure (and oil vapor) out the cover and it is sucked into the TB and into the cylinders to burn off the oil vapor.

Remove plenum to access it? Are there any write ups or "how to's" that you know of? Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
On an LT1 you don't have to remove the plenum, just the fuel rail covers to gain access. Here's a smaller pic of the EGR valve and EGR pipe on an LT1 for reference.
Search this Forum using "EGR" as a keyword and you should find what you're looking for.
