Default spark plug gap?

well i posted a few days ago and never got a response, but i replaced the opti with msd, the coil with msd, and the plugwires with msd. i am replacing the plugs with ngk g-power with the parts store says that these plugs need to be set at .050'' with this engine. now with that new msd set up i got what should i set them at?, i was thinking .042'' cause thats what my father told me to run. also the only reponsewas fsm said .032''

Does the msd give a recommendation? If its the high voltage multiple spark msd then it is normal to open up the plugs wider. My vote is 0.05.

You didn't specify what year 'Vette, but peep the NGK website for yourself to check the correct gap.

Do you have an owners manual? As it should tell you in there.
