Just bite the bullet and buy the factory service manuel for your year car. It will pay for itself shortly. Just about any thing you will ever need to know about your car will be there.
Don't waste your money on anything but a genuine GM service manuel.
As mentioned your best alternative is to purchase the genuine factory service manual for your car, it will often pay for itself with the first repair if not in labor then by saving on parts purchased in error.
There is a less expensive choice that has the same information, a one year subscription to ALLDATA for a single vehicle is less than $30 and is available instantly on-line with credit card purchase. Using it is not as convenient as having the printed manual but might be worthwhile for some.
I think he is looking for the electronic schematic not the how to determine what part is really broken. The FSM does not have the electronic schematic for anything, they just say change ECM CCM C68 radio etc.. I would love to have the same thing he is looking for and it must be out there somewhere. It would be a very gracious thing for automakers to release this sort of info for cars no longer in production and no more repair parts being made.

Oops, my mistake I didn't read it that way, thought he needed the wiring diagram. I agree about the electronics diagrams for the older stuff, they must exist since there are places that repair the computers, amplifiers, etc., but they seem very reluctant to release them.
At the www.batee.com site there is a schematic for an 89 cluster, that is the only schematic I have ever seen for clusters. GM decided to supply only repair stations, parts and schematics for C4 clusters and this is the reason why they aren't available.
