Tension Pulley assembly.
Fellas, how hard is it to change the tension assembly on my 90 Vette. Mine is starting to rattle so I bought a replacement from National Auto. I have seen a tool for sale in the cataloges to get at the part. Can it be changed with a ratchet and ext.? Or should I let it be changed by a pro? How long and hard a job is it ? Allentown Ernie

I'd make sure it isn't the belt first.
About 5 minutes. Use a 1/2 inch breaker bar to relieve tension. Unbolt and slide back the Tensioner with the bolt. It usually hits the crossbar, but it comes out with the bolt inside the Tensioner.
