Default A/C convertion kit on a 88'

Hey guys just bought my first Corvette, a 1988 Coupe with 66k. The A/C needs to be recharged and it is still using R12. I figure this is the best time to convert it over to 132. Is there anywhere you would recommend purchasing this kit from? Thanks again, love the site, it helped a lot in purchasing my vette!

Most parts store sell the basic kits. Replace the drier and orifice tube also, evacuate, recharge and you should be cool.

The best thing to do is to take the car to a reputable shop that has an experienced A/C technician. Besides what was listed, you need a different oil for R134a. IF you don't have any experience with automotive A/C systems, don't risk making a mistake especially with the gas pressures.

Get it done right and you will have a system that operates properly.

Find out why it's leaking first.
