Default oil pressure?

i have a problem when im driving my oil pressure sits at like 45-55 but when i stop it tells me my pressure is low usually 0-5 but once i start moving again it goes back up to 45-55. ive checked my oil on many occasions and my oil level is good. any ideas what could be wrong?

If you're running 5W30 move to 10W40 to increase the oil pressure during at idle, fully warmed up operating temperature.

Other options involve buying and changing parts. Mechanical oil pressure gage, oil pressure sender, oil pump spring, oil pump, rebuild, etc.

I would temperarely install a mechanical gauge to see if the readings are correct. If they are, something is wrong. How many miles on the car?

It depends on what you find once the engine is torn down. Typically a .030 overbore is what's done.
