Default Using ECM with ZIF socket ...Cover removed ?

Hi im running a Moates.net G1 adapter with a ZIF Socket
which means i cannot put the ECM Cover on because the ZIF makes the chip stick out, maybe im being very **** but there is a reason because the ECM has a cover, what's your ideas about this ?
Should i put the ECM back in place without its cover ?
Should i design a special clearance cover ?
Am i supposed to take off the ZIF and solder a normal socket there ?
I dont want to do that
Thanks !!!

Unless you are spraying water under your dash no problem running with cover off

I put tape over mine for dust control. Probably not necessary, but it makes me feel more comfortable.

I don't think i will be near that, still think its a dog after all the upgrades

i will post a thread about it when the tune is done.

I was hoping 420 but i don't think i have that at all.

I want to put the car under some tests to see what's capable to do.

At least it made me smile when i did this ...but i think it might be better

Looks like fun. Do a quarter mile datalog and post that. I'd be interested in how long you take to go from 0-60mph.

Im interested in that as well, i've been datalogging that and i got 5.5 but that was not right ,im doing 6.2 and higher (in the 7's) but that's because my launch inexperience and i spin the wheels, i need to learn how to do it properly and try different techniques.
Im contacting the guy in charge of the track i want to practice quarter mile once my tune is done.
After some youtube video research found out that the brand new ZR1 does 3.6 or 3.8 at 0-60 so i don't think i might do it in 4 at all.......but in my mind i was hoping that before i saw the video lol !

In my latest datalog I did 15-75 mph (rolling start) in about 6 sec. Don't think I am going to get much better than that with my current stock TPI setup. I presume you have ditched the TPI for a single plane (non-tuned) intake.
