Re: Instrument cluster blinks SYS...what does this mean? (1990corvette)
That is your central control module fault warning. It is just like your sevice engine light on your ecm. To pull the codes from its diagnostic system ground pin G of the ALDL connector. The screen will then flash the affected codes.
Re: Instrument cluster blinks SYS...what does this mean? (My 95)
bdtenore is right on......the SYS warning is a fault message of the CCM (Central Control Module) which is mounted under the dash board right behind the HVAC control and the radio. to get ot it you need to remove the knee bolster on the drivers side and maybe another panel and reach behind the radio/HVAC controls to remove the CCM mounting and slide it out to the drivers side. I once had a masive computer failure on my 96 LT4 convertible and GMPP replaced the PCM and CCM, only ot find out it was a A/C relay that fell off its post and was hanging upside down where it ran full of water.....
