Default TB pains (solved)

OK I have 1990 L98 6 speed vette.

I been having trouble with high rpms. As soon as you turn it on it idle at around 700 rpm. OK here the problem, the second you get on the gas it start to go up in the RPMs and will not come down. The gas peddle is very soft.

I got the 1990 corvette service manual. It only talks about the LT5 TB.

The book still in the wrong and the TB cable needs to be replace. Good thing Im still young.

See if the throttle body is returning to a closed position after you let off the gas. You can manually close it by hand. If it doesn't, maybe your cable is kinked, corroded, or binding. Maybe your pedal pivot is binding.

Could be a weak throttle spring.
