Default Torn Convertible Top

Anyone know what I should do to fix a very small horseshoe tear in my covertible top? It is the size of your small finger's fingernail. It is close to the back, bottom corner of the top where the top meets the body of the car. It is about 2 inches up from the body, right on the curve. In the place where it is -it is not that noticeable, but should I do something to keep it from getting larger?

Can I glue it down? It is very small, but I am afraid of the glue seeping thru the fabric and looking like dog dirt....

Looks like a maroon color top. You should probably only use a clear flexible contact adhesive. Most contact adhesives I have used are yellow, so I don't have an exact brand recommendation. With contact adhesive- apply it to both surfaces, let it dry until tacky, then stick it together.
If all else fails put a dab of silicone caulk in it and put some weight on top until dry.

Maybe some clear RTV (silicone)?
Just a thought.

Robbins (cloth top manufacturer) said the best solution is to use contact cement on a round piece of fabric (let it get tacky as mentioned above) and place it underneath the hole (obviously). Square pieces tend to hang up or rub more if they are near one of the roof supports. I haven't done mine yet since it's directly in the middle of the roof and hard to get to. I was planning on waterproofing the fabric first before gluing it, just to prevent any water leaks.
