i found this article today, ive been looking to turbo my 86 for a while, and this seems good. any opinions or anyone use it yet? also the site didnt have any info on it.
I've been told that HP performance has had a lot of fit and finish issues. Take a close look at previous threads and c4 owners... I don't know of ANYONE who is running this kit. I thought that was unusual.
HP Performance has some credibility with other other circles, Like Ford. But like I said, over the short time I've spent in the c4 community I have not seen or heard of 1 person running this setup.
I am running the first single turbo kit from hp got it done back in 2006 the car is all stock motor and tranny makes 438hp and 590 tq its a tight fitting kit and you do have to put battery in the storage compartments. Car has no over heating issues and still has ac!

Wow, an actual HP Performance kit owner? Are you the first and "only"? lol...
We need pictures, videos, etc.
I still firmly believe the OP is better off with an alternate route.
All I can say is stay far far away from this company. They are hacks. Unfortunally I know from experiance. Luckly I got out before they totally destroyed my car.

I'm confused. Evltwin is the person who had the first one of these installed in his L98. Not sure why this Donkey dude thinks his was the first. I know this because he had his car in there shop at the same time I had mine there. They did his car first and then tryed to copy it onto my ZR-1 and made a total mess of it. I talked to Evltwin after the fact and he also had issus originally but he got them to fix there issues. Unfortunatly, my car didn't go the same way. After over 2 years of them watching my car collect dust, I went down and took it back just before they totally FUBAR'ed it. Lucky for me I have the best ZR-1 guy about 20 miles from me and he was able to fix there mistakes prior to doing any real damage. I guess you get what you pay for and boy did I ever end up paying for it.
